Altepad Publisher Description

Altepad is a small, easy and friendly text editor/viewer which additionally is capable of editing Web files (both pages and pictures). The editor can replace a standard Notepad and be utilized as such as well as a plug-in for editing/viewing files in Total Commander (Windows Commander). An attractive and easily understandable interface is another merit of the program. The program is currently capable of performing the following tasks as multilanguage user interface, display a Line numbers panel and Bookmarks, using of saved bookmarks in the text, opening the large files, unlimited Undo/Redo, auto indent, expanded search/replace with a toolbar (rather than with a dialog window) function, save history of search/replacement, creation of list of substitutions for fast text editing, support and auto-detection of text encodings (Unicode, UTF-8, UTF-7 and all multilingual encodings available in Windows - WIN, DOS, MAC, KOI8, ISO, etc) with possibility of restoring the last encoding, supports, editing/viewing Web pages (HTML files), viewing Web pictures (GIF,JPG,PNG files), full navigation (Back-Forward as in MSIE-browser) for opened files (including the HTML hyperlinks) as for text edit as for reviewing web-files (pages or pictures), using as plug-in for viewing [F3] or editing [F4] text files in Total Commander (Windows Commander), etc.
